KEY WORKERS

Dear Parents/Carer,

RE: Coronavirus update- school closure

Following instructions from the Prime Minister, schools have been told to close until further notice.

We will be open for children of key workers and children with identified needs.  If you believe you are a key worker, please contact the school office (open 8:00am - 4:00pm), or Miss Martin directly.

Parents of children with Educational Health Care Plans and those who have a social worker will be contacted individually.

We would like children at home to balance learning with creative activities, baking, playing outside, exercise to online videos and maybe spending time as a family watching a movie at home. The situation at the moment is something none of us has dealt with before and therefore it creates worry and anxiety. We want our children to feel safe, so please use the home-learning as guidance, a way to occupy your children, but not as a source of tension within families. If you have concerns during the school closure, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

Whilst school is closed to most children, the staff will be working on school improvement and development; they will also be working on home learning and developing virtual classrooms.  Please check in to your virtual classrooms as often as possible on 'Itslearning' (see HOME LEARNING tab).

We would like to thank you for all your support and kind words. I am incredibly grateful and proud of our school staff. They have shown positivity, professionalism and determination, whilst being kind and caring to your children.

Kind regards and best wishes,

Joanna Martin
