This year's World Book Day at Coteford was a swashbuckling success, brought to life in spectacular fashion with an exciting performance of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island.

The hall was transformed into a scene straight from the high seas, as M&M Productions set sail on a thrilling adventure, filled with pirates, hidden treasure and daring escapades.

From the very first moment, the children were hooked! The actors delivered fantastic performances, bringing the characters to life with energy and plenty of humour!

After lunch the children were treated to a fantastic workshop. The actors delivered an engaging and insightful behind-the-scenes question and answer session. It gave the children a glimpse into the world of theatre. One of the highlights of the workshop was learning how much preparation goes into even the smallest moment on stage. Children were called up to have a closer look at props and costumes. Some even had a go on the microphones and sound equipment. The workshop was not only educational but incredibly inspiring, leaving many of our pupils excited about drama and performance.

We are very grateful to the actors for sharing their expertise and giving our children such a memorable experience and look forward to welcoming them back next year.
