Year 3-Immersive Stone Age History Workshop

Immersive History Workshop brings the Stone Age to life at Coteford

Pupils across Year 3 were treated to an exciting and immersive Stone Age history workshop that transported them thousands of years back in time.

From the moment the session began, children were fully engaged, stepping back in time to explore what life was like for early humans through hands-on activities, storytelling and role play.

The workshop leader, Liane, captivated the children with fascinating facts, artefacts and vivid descriptions, encouraging pupils to ask questions and think deeply about the Stone Age era. Pupils had the opportunity to handle replica objects, see clothing worn and learn about Stone Age tools and shelters.  They learnt how people hunted, gathered food and survived in a challenging environment. The pupils took part in interactive scenarios, helping them to develop a real sense of historical understanding.

Staff were hugely impressed by Liane and the way she engaged with our pupils, ensuring all children were fully involved and confident to take part. The workshop supported our history curriculum while also developing key skills such as communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

The Stone Age workshop was both educational and enjoyable, leaving pupils eager to learn more about life in prehistoric times.

Huge thanks to Liane and everyone at Primary History Workshops – we look forward to booking you again next year!
