Our Year 6 pupils were treated to an unforgettable experience on Monday, when a mobile planetarium visited our school, transforming the hall into a window on the universe. From the moment the inflatable dome was revealed, excitement and curiosity filled the room.
The immersive show took pupils on a fascinating journey through space, exploring planets, stars and galaxies in a way that was both accessible and awe-inspiring. The host, Dave from Auriga Astronomy, pitched the session perfectly for Year 6, blending clear explanations with stunning visuals and moments of wonder that captured everyone’s attention.
Pupils were highly engaged throughout, asking questions and making excellent links to their science learning on space.
The visit was not only educational but truly inspiring, sparking curiosity and discussion long after the session ended.
The mobile planetarium was a fantastic enrichment opportunity for our Year 6 cohort and a valuable addition to our science curriculum and we look forward to welcoming Auriga Astronomy back to Coteford next year.
