We will be celebrating Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 9th February.  Each pupil has access to the Safer Internet Room on our ItsLearning platform. We have selected four themes for this week with a Funday Friday for Safer Internet Day games and videos which are linked to the Safer Internet page:
Monday – Screen time and Wellbeing (keeping the balance)
Tuesday – Netiquette (appropriate online behaviour and cyberbullying)
Wednesday – It’s Private (what to share or not to share)
Thursday – Seeing is Believing (fake photos / fake news)
Friday – Games Day (videos and games to deepen understanding of online safety)
 Also, please consider safe surfing on the internet. We have safety filters in school, but unfiltered searching can be problematic. There are many resources to support parents regarding online safety. There is a presentation on the website which explains all the aspects of online safety covered in school through our computing curriculum and PSHE.
We would normally invite you in for workshops, so please look under the tab PARENTS, then E-SAFETY.  Your children are invited to some Safer Internet ‘live’ assemblies throughout the week at the following times. Miss Martin and Mrs Eckley will both be there and we are looking forward to seeing you already.
Online Safety Messaging on Monday 8th February at 1pm; 1:30pm or 2pm.
Social Media on Tuesday 9th February at 9am or 9:30am or 10am.
Safe Sharing on Thursday 11th February at 11:30am; 12pm or 1pm.
Each session is a repeat. You are welcome to any session on the same day. 100 participants limit in each session.
