   ⭐IN SCHOOL AND ON TIME!⭐​

  Last week Mrs Goodison and Miss Grainger launched our new Attendance and Punctuality initiative. 

  Children can now check our 'ATTENDANCE SUPERSTARS' board in school to see if their name is on it.  This is updated every Monday for the previous week.  You will also be able to see information and posters in the hut by the main school gate. 

  At the end of each term, there will be a special reward for students who have been IN SCHOOL & ON TIME!  At the end of this term, the reward will be a PIZZA PARTY in December.

   

  Poster Competition 

  A big thank you to all the children who entered our Attendance Poster Competition.  We had lots of amazing submissions and it was very hard for us to choose the winners! The winners and runners up received a lovely certificate and chocolate prize.  All posters have been displayed around the school for the children to see.

• ANOTHER FOOTBALL SQUAD VICTORY!

  The COTEFORD Football Squad had an ANOTHER amazing win this week.  We beat Warrender School:  7 - 2!  Well done team - and a BIG thank you again to Mr Belinga and Mr Brennan for their coaching. The Squad are really settling into the season, so fingers crossed for the next fixture.

• Y5 Visit The BRITISH SCHOOLS MUSEUM for Victorian Studies

  Our Y5 children had a brilliant time at the SCHOOLS MUSEUM in Hitchin yesterday.  They learned all about being a school pupil in Victorian times (behaviour was excellent!).  Thank you parents for putting together such authentic costumes - children and staff looked fabulous :)

  

• Black History Month

  We are celebrating Black History Month at Coteford Junior School. Samuel in Y3 kindly shared his heritage with the whole school and we found out facts about Barbados too!  Thank you Samuel.
