5UQ Global Village Cafe!

5UQ's GLOBAL VILLAGE Cafe was a huge success! Thank you to the many visitors who contributed so generously to the chosen charity of WATER AID.

Over £1,000 was raised and the Water Aid representatives who attended were blown away by the efforts of our staff, parents and children. Huge thanks to all the 5UQ parents who cooked and baked their hearts out! Well done Mrs Qureshy and team :)

JUNIOR ROADWATCH with the Met.Police

Y4 have been thoroughly enjoying JUNIOR ROADWATCH with the Met. Police on Fore Street this week. They have been stopping speeding motorists, who were then given the option of a speeding ticket, or a talking-to from our students! There were some very sheepish motorists who had to answer questions such as: 'how long have you been driving?' and 'did you know you were speeding outside a school and putting the children at risk?'. Our staff also found it hugely enjoyable! Something else to add to our STARS Road Safety accreditation.

We thoroughly enjoyed working with the staff and pupils at Coteford - it was a very welcome change to the clientele we usually deal with!!

The pupils were absolutely fantastic! we were blown away with how enthusiastic they were and how well they took on their respective roles - both testament to the great work you're all doing at the school.

SPORTS' DAY at COTEFORD

What a day we've been having! Our children are having a fantastic time taking part in all the fun events - wellie-throwing is a great favourite :) It's lovely to see so many parents here. Our Sports Days always run like clockwork, so thank you Mrs Pendred for amazing organisation.

Y4 have a new DT topic on SEASONAL FOOD which culminates in them creating their own meal made from seasonal veg. Take a look at our 'before' and 'after' photos - the food looked so healthy and scrumptious. The children had so much fun making, cooking and EATING!
